Jul 09, 2018 · Pulse Secure is an organized and simple to connect VPN that can be accessed conveniently and securely at any moment. The VPN gives users protection against detrimental network activity, defending end user networks and safe guarding servers. Use of a VPN helps to protect Penn’s network and access to private information.Please note that this service is not available for all Penn affiliates VPN Client: a) Choose Start>Programs>Cisco Systems VPN Client>VPN Client. The VPN Client window opens up. b) If there are any entries in the Connection Entry windows, select Connection Entries>Delete. Once the Connection box is empty, go to the next step. c) Click New. The Create New VPN Connection Entry window opens. The duration of closures may change if University leadership determines it is best to do so. Note that all systems in student labs will be available for remote access through the PSU VPN and the COE VPN (in addition to the already in-use CSE VPN). To use the VPN: To launch the VPN, go to the Start Menu, open the 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client' folder, and click 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client'. A window like the one below will pop up. Click 'Connect'. Enter your Penn State Access ID username and password, then click 'OK'.
